How AeroGarden Works
Aerogarden uses a hydroponics/aeroponics technology, which is a method of growing plants without soil. The system is fully automated and comes with instructions and diagrams that can be easily followed to assemble the product. When you purchase an Aerogarden indoor garden, it will include the device used for watering and growing the seeds, a grow light and seed pods. You will also receive a tending and harvesting guide.
Aeorgarden seed kits contains individual pods made up of two pieces of foam-like rubber with the seeds positioned in-between. Each pod is enclosed by a cup-shaped frame which is inserted into a hole at the top of the system’s water tank.
The indoor garden’s water tank holds one gallon of drinking water. Once the water is put into the garden, the system automatically pumps it up and over the rim of each seed pod and into the foam where the seeds are located. Aerogarden keeps the pods moist, and any remaining water drips back into the system. The indoor garden system monitors the amount of water that is being circulated based on the type of herb, vegetable or flower that is growing. The Aerogarden indoor vegetable garden and indoor herb garden also come with a light which it automatically turns on during the day and off at night.
